Auto-tuned conversations

A comic from Zach Weiner's Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, which is worth checking out regularly:

Weird use of grammer. It starts out 'In the Future...' but then slips into past tense. Then jumps to past plu-perfect to show an action that was completed in the past. (in the future). Then it jumps to present indicative. 'Humans are now..'
And rounds it out with a history of what has happened in the past of the future.

It could have been funny or snarky but to me it sounded douchey since its supposed to be about intelligent communication. But he could not even pull that off. #clownfailsaucememetrenddon'tisoundsmarterthanknuckledraggersimhipp
