Overheard in a cafe in NYC

"Men are very single-minded. They only see what's right in front of them. Women are much more observant — they can see the world from different perspectives."

Isn't this rather paradoxical considering it was said by a man?

A sensitive man, no doubt. Dribbling with self-abasement in the hope of attracting women. 70s retro!
