I would answer that question of Bill's if I believed that it's a serious one on his part, but I don't, and it's not. Bill's schtick always, in the end, is about ducking responsibility. That bug IS his feature. So appropriate, really.
Also, he's odious. Moreover, his idea of learning is roughly equal to repeatedly, reflexively picking a scab and, somehow, some way ever finding a reason to keep that faulty notion of usefulnes true and new.
For my part, I find him to be one who leaks deceit despite his neat, sweet, elite beat, so attractive to such a fleet. He's that guy, in the breezeway between the honors dorms several decades back, who plaintively whined to be taken seriously while almost everyone else had gone out into the fresh air to play a good, if rough, game of softball.
